Founded in 1977, by Gary and Myrna Kwasnecha, Financial Services Group (FSG) is a wholistic Financial planning, Insurance and Investment Management firm built on a rich history of strong client engagement and high levels of customer service.
FSG employs 12 people, including 7 advisors and 5 support team members. FSG serves over 1,200 client households, manages over 500 million of investment assets and its advisors have delivered over 40 million worth of Life and Critical Illness Insurance claims to our clients' beneficiaries. FSG is located in the heart of Leduc, Alberta, and we serve clients located throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

2023 – Acquisition of GIC business from LGK Wealth Management inc., out of Edmonton
2022 – Acquisition of GIC business from Lea Inc., out of Wetaskiwin
2021 – Surpassed 500 Million in assets under management
2021 – Merger with Kinasewich Benefits Consulting Ltd. FSG Benefits Solutions amalgamated with Kinasewich Benefits Solutions (KBC). KBC adopts “Get Benefits” as a tradename. FSG and KBC/Get Benefits operate as “sister” companies under separate brands.
2019 - Formal launch of FSG Benefits Solutions, a Division of FSG, specializing in Group Benefits and Group Retirement Plans for Small/Medium sized businesses
2018 - Michael MacPhail buys into FSG, forming a partnership with Scott
2016 - Surpassed 300 million in assets
2013 - Moved office to its current location, 5202 - 47 St Leduc, AB
2013 - Scott Kwasnecha buys into FSG, beginning a 10-year ownership transition from Gary/Myrna
2012 - 10 team members
2007 - Adoption of a 4-day workweek to realize health benefits and enhanced productivity
2006 - Surpassed 1000 client households

2000 - Merger with Deposit Brokers Inc.

1981 - Financial Services Group (FSG) registered as tradename
1981 - Gary begins "brokering" insurance to multiple carriers on behalf of his clients and places his first Insurance case outside of Imperial Life. This was a turning point in Gary's career, which led him down a path of product independence based on a client-first philosophy
1979 - Gary P. Kwasnecha & Company Ltd. was incorporated with Gary and Myrna Kwasnecha as owners
1977 - Gary Kwasnecha, after spending several years in the food and hospitality business, joined Imperial Life to sell Life Insurance
